For our honeymoon, we are going on a cruise and going to Universal Studios in Orlando after.
I need some help on planning the Universal Studios part:
– does it make sense to book an on-site hotel? Any good hotels in the neighborhood?
– which rides would you recommend
– we will be staying for 4 days. How much should we budget for? (range)
Thx a million

All I know is that you must try butterbeer in the Harry Potter section. Yummy yum yums! :p

Stay off site, not worth the $$$ inside

We spent two weeks in Florida in February! We stayed in a timeshare resort and our family group (8 people) rented a van to get around. Let me tell you, parking is very expensive and having to drive through Orlando to get to different places isn’t the most convenient. I would recommend staying onsite, there are many perks and by staying right there you can walk right into the park no problem and enjoy late night drinks on the CityWalk.

Oh and the Hulk ride was amazing, and if your a Harry Potter fan that entire area is just too amazing to describe (obvious fan here haha)

Oh my gosh I went there in November and it was AMAZING! We blazed through both sides of the park in a day though, just going on the major rides a bunch of times and not doing all the small stuff. We stayed near Disney as we went to all of them, and let me tell you they do NOT make it easy to get to other parks if you’re staying near another one’s site – they wouldn’t even tell us which public buses we could get to Sea World and we had to get a cab to Universal. I really wanted to stay on site for the experience but didn’t, just do it I say!
