    Hey ladies-

So My mom and her former-florist friend will be doing my centerpieces because of how particular I am and it will cut costs! My wedding theme is going to be cherry blossom-so we are planning on having brown branches and a few cherry blossom stems in each vase with japanese river rocks filling the vases. Now, I am on a search for tall square shaped vases (probably 17'') Because we are buying the vases-I want them to be made of strong, solid glass, not the cheap plastic feeling ones. I figure we can keep a couple of centerpieces in our home to remind of us our big day and give some away to family members and our bridal party, thus the reason for wanting better quality vases.

I have searched the internet and found a couple of sites, but I'd much rather physically pick up the vases at a local store so I know they are exactly what I want. (I've already searched Michaels, Joannes and Ikea) Another option would be to hear from someone else who has purchased some vases possibly online or in a store and have good reviews. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

hmm. have you tried pottery barn and crate and barrel?  I know that prices at those stores can be higher but if you plan on keeping them it would be worth it. My friend got her centerpiece vases at pottery barn and then sold them to her family after the wedding!!

Try Pier One Imports.  I've gotten some really substantial square vases from them.

Another alternative would be to find something you like online- order just one- and if you like it order more.

    Good luck.
