Ok so I am in the process of making a final decision on my wedding band (way to wait til the last possible second stardust). I went into a brick and mortar store and tried on bands. I thought I wanted something to wear with my engagement ring. My ring makes it really hard to find a band that will sit either flush with it or really close to where i can deal with the gap. I don’t like the gap at all and aside from having one specially made (not an option) there isn’t any I liked. Also, another strange thing is I was not a fan of the bands that I thought I would really like. I didn’t like the sparkly ones and I don’t want anything too ornate. I tried on plain white gol bands and it still just didn’t feel right. I tried on a plain black band and fell in love. So not even close to what I thought I would want. It would be a stand alone wedding band instead of a band I pair with my engagement ring but Im ok with that. The problem now is making a final choice. Fiance is getting a black band too and is super excited that I will “match” him lol. It’s very much our style. Here are my options. Ill add a poll.
I understand that for a woman, my choice is a bit off beat. But it definitely suits me so even if it isn’t your style, maybe try and pick the better of the choices in your opinion. They aren’t very different but for some reason I can’t decide :
Option one: plain black and thin.
Option 2: Thicker but also plain
Option 3: Not all black, thicker, a little more interesting to look at
ETA: My work computer hates polls and I can’t add one since I can’t see the box properly on here. So no poll 🙁

I wish I could help you but for some reason I can’t see the pics. However, from the sound of it, and since you do want a black band, I’d go with the thin one to keep it feminine-looking. (Hard to tell though without seeing the images)

@Melithehoneybee: I couldn’t see them either because my work computer doesn’t always show the photos in threads. But now that I know that others can’t see them as well ill have to come back when I have more time and post links. Fiance likes the thin plain black one as well.

I can’t see the pictures either but I see nothing wrong with having a stand alone band. I plan on having 2 bands – my diamond band, and then a plain yellow gold one to match FI’s. If you don’t like the gap (I generally don’t either) then it sounds like the thin black one would work just fine – plus it matches your FI’s.

to give an idea, this is similar to the one I like. Not exactly But the general look that I was going for.
Fiance really likes this next one for me but I’m weird about not being able to see things in person and I can’t see this one in person. So idk. It is very nice and a bit more jazzy than the plain band.
This one is actually part of a set I fell in love with but my engagement ring ended up being something I liked even more that was more traditional. It wouldn’t be this exact one but we found one similar to it.

I can’t see your pics either. If you fixed that you may get more responses posted. 🙂

If you fell in love then do it! Who cares what others think it is what makes you happy that matters! Good luck and show us the final product when you make your decision 🙂
