Hello fellow Ottawa Bees!
I need your help for my wedding. I am planning everything by myself but am at a lost who to go to for some items.
Do you know of anyone in Ottawa who rents 6-foot tall white manzanita trees?
I found a company but they are a bit on the pricey side (over $120 for only 1 tree)! I hope there is a cheaper alternative out there.
If you don’t mind sharing, who made your flowers, how much did you pay for them (your bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquet, your groom’s boutonniere, and groomsmen’s boutonniere) and what were the size of the bouquets (10 inch, 7 inch)?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Can’t comment on the manzanita trees but maybe I can help with your question about flowers.
I bought all of my flowers at Loblaws the day before my wedding and made my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets and the boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen. It was the easiest thing and saved me a ton of money.
I had previously bought some floral tape at the dollar store (about $2) and some floral pins and ribbon at Walmart (about $5). The total cost for the flowers was $105.80 and we didn’t even end up using them all. I watched some Youtube videos on how to put together a bouquet but could have done it without them. The trick is to make the bouquets in sections (middle, outer layer, second outer layer, etc.) and wrap with the floral tape as you go. Then you just wrap the finished product with the ribbon and use a glue gun to secure the end of the ribbon.
Here’s a photo of the flowers we purchased:
And the finished bouquets (2 of the 4):
We left the stems a lil long overnight (so the ribbon wouldn’t get wet) and cut them the morning of the wedding.
Hope this helps!
