Hi everyone, I am getting maried in 9 months and I am starting my dress search. I love ballgown dresses and most have a cathedral trains. I am getting married inside of a reception hall. Will a cathedral train be too much?

A chapel train would be a bit much for me in that venue but if you want it, go for it! I would look into detachable trains so that you can easily convert your dress for the reception.

I think it depends on how formal the wedding is. There is a right dress for every venue.

If the receptional hall is very grand, a cathedral train might work… but I’d probably choose something with a chapel length or semi-cathedral to give you the look you want without the hassle of the huge train.
Did you already have a particular dress or two you had in mind?

Depending on the dress, you can always shorten the train!
YAY for ballgown brides!
