I think with your makeup warm tones are your friend. I am similar in skin tone and cool tones used to create that smokey eye using black/gray/silver will look harsh and exaggerated. Try using browns, neutrals and purples/pinks instead.

This is my hair and make up inspiration:

Neutral browns are the best when it comes to not wanting a lot of eye shadow but still wanting to look bridal.

Or you can do a strong cat eye, light shadows and a bold lip. I think raspberry colored would look so pretty on you.

@garden_bride:  I don’t have any pix, but I would agree with the other ladies and go with neutral. If it is too light you can always go with a little bit of a darker shade or a thicker liner to amp it up. Also wanted to say that you are gorgeous!

@garden_bride:  I don’t think it would be too much if your eye makeup isn’t over the top. If it was a red lip, it probably would be. Is the inspiration picture you posted Renata’s work? I have a trial with her next week, I’ll let you know how it goes!

@garden_bride:  Hmm.. not sure how much the trial is, she’s giving me mine for free since she had to reschedule mine, but I’ve been quoted 60-100 with other artists. Thanks 🙂 I hope it goes well too, it’ll make my life so much easier since she works in Troy which is a 10 min drive lol.

My sister in law did my make up as a gift 🙂 We did a trial and played around with colored eye shadow (purple, jade, and green… similar to wedding colors)… But they were too bold for me for the wedding… I usually don’t wear make up and my DH likes it that way.  I will definitely use those bold colors for a fun night out, but I just wanted a classic look for the wedding 🙂  So we went with neutral browns/bronzes for eye shadow and I loved it!
