That sounds fine to me, I mean that's close to how I plan to word my invitations since my mother passed away. I know it's a rough situation to be in.

Hi all,
This is my first posting, but I have taken advantage of all the advice posted! I have a question regarding my invitations with including my fiance's deceased father. I want something like this:
Mr and Mrs John Doe request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter
Samatha Ann Doe
to
Jonathan David Smith
son of Mrs. Janet Smith and the late Mr. David Smith?
Or is somthing else more appropriate? I want both parents listed, but just wasnt sure on how to deal with his father being deceased. Thank you all!!
