I ordered the chinese take out boxes to use for our wedding favor. When they arrived we noticed a red stamp on the bottom of the boxes. It covers the entire bottom of the box with an advertisement. Is this standard for the boxes or not?? Ang suggestions for covering the bottoms would be hugely appreciated!!!

Ooh, I don’t know if that’s normal. Would you be able to use a red inkpad, touch the bottoms of the boxes to it and cover up the advertisement? Good luck!!

If the stamp is on the bottom, why do you feel like you need to cover it? Not being snotty….just asking. I would say decorate the rest of the box as planned and don’t worry about the bottom…I seriously doubt anybody would even look.

does it matter? its on the bottom after all. bottom of the inside or outside? if inside you can use some tissue paper to cover it up i guess. as a guest i wouldnt be worried if i saw that – in fact you might find some guest might want to know so they can order some for themselves

Could you just cover it with another big sticker? Like a label?

No one will be looking at the bottom.

Like charm bracelet said, big sticker will work.

I wouldn’t spend anymore money on them.

as a guest, i wouldn’t look at the bottom. unless it’s the inside bottom. then i might. i second tissue paper if you mean inside bottom.

Even if its on the bottom and a guest sees it I dont think its a big deal. So then the company (who you got cute boxes from!) will get a little extra business from advertising. People will be focused on the favor, not the box it came in.

I wouldn’t waste the time on it if i were you!

If its inside I would put tissue paper in the box, if its on the outside what about a large monogram sticker? or perhaps you can just try removing it if its a sticker.

I personally don’t think it is a problem since it is on the bottom, but the OCD in me would probably decide to find a way to cover it up. Personally, I would design a cute quick logo (maybe monogram and my wedding date, like a copyright idea) and buy some print-it-yourself sticker paper at a craft store or walmart/target ect and use my printer at home to print them and cover it. Just my opinion though, if it doesn’t bug you, I don’t think anyone else will notice!

Could you paint the bottoms with acrylic paint in one of your wedding colors if its bothering you too much?

When you put them on the table, just make sure they’re standing, pretty sure no one will really notice, and if they do, it doesn’t seem like a big deal.
