Hahaha oh no!!  Yeah, I get how you feel.  My mom got me a HUGE reeses egg…like, 4 servings at 220 calories each huge.  How is that helping me???

Just put the rest away for the night, or better yet, break it up into small pieces, put each in an individual ziplock baggie and only allow yourself one baggie a day!

Oh man, Sweet Tarts “Chicks Ducks and Bunnies” are my weakness! Especially the purple ones! I’m steadily working my way thru the bag! The rest of the candy is in the freezer for a later date!

Put ther headless bunny down! I say take a small bite and throw it in to the trash, quickly! Before you stop yourself, this is my method. It’s either the trash or my mouth!

I totally know what you’re talking about. My FMIL sends us candy ALL the time. For no reason at all. We just get random packages filled with candy. It drives me crazy since both myself and my FI are trying to get in better shape before the wedding. And we tell her this and she does okay for a bit and then sends us candy again. So frustrating! But oh well. I’ve been doing well with the Easter candy, but it just sits there waiting for me to eat it.

I echo Kiki82–take one bite and then toss it in a dirty garbage can. It might sound wasteful, but I can’t be trusted with it in the freezer, and I figure it’s more wasteful to spend my money on the dieting industry than to toss the candy.

My mom was the worst this year. She got my daughter a huge Easter basket full of that kind of stuff! It is a massive amount and she knows I am trying to diet. And then to top it off she sent my daughter home with my nieces candy because since she is only 10 months and wont be eating it and a full package of Oreos = I mean really! come on, you are killing me!!

I know how you all feel! I ended up with several chocolate bunnies, candies, and even a jumbo chocolate cupcake (my weakness). I pawn it off on the FI, he brings it to work and the guys eat it. It makes me laugh though because everyone who bought me junk, knows I’m trying to eat well and that I have a dress to fit into!

@teacherbride – good for you!

I told my mom ahead of time no chocolate and so I have had no temptation this easter which is a good thing because the chocolate would have won for sure!

Haha, I totally know how you feel! I got a ton of Easter candy from my family when I went home this past weekend, and I just put it all in a shoebox and stuck it deep within the recesses of my closet (believe me, nothing can get back there!). out of sight, out of mind! Hopefully it works though. teacherbride, you’re far stronger than I am. I just love my chocolate way too much to throw it away. πŸ™‚
