Wow! That stinks. I really hope they can get it resolved to a compromise of some sort.
My FI ordered my ring from a jeweler near his parent's house, gave them the setting #. I swear it's not the one I asked for but now I can't find the one I want on the website. I really, really hope our bands turn out OK. We're having designer dupes made.
I would definitely be angry in your position. If the one you wanted was discontinued, they should told you and gotten your OK before making a switch.

So I just went to go pick up my band for my fiance..and when I went to pick up the ring.. It was one that I didn't order. They said the one in the case was discontinued and it was just a slight variation but they did order the correct one...no appology..no discount..I am going to call the manager..I think the ring is fine but I am super pissed at the poor customer service..I am going to complain to corporate..and its just the principle,, I actually think the ring is nice so I didnt refuse to take it but I have never heard of anything like this
