I don't know about all the teas, but I think barley tea is supposed to be a good tea to drink during pregnancy,
I moved it to the Babies forum for you!
Your doctor should be able to give you a list of herbs to avoid consuming during pregnancy. You should also avoid taking any herbal supplements that haven't been cleared by your OB.
You could try paging Dr. Google, but his answers can be very dubious.
um... well, I drink chamomile tea all the time... I really hadn't really given herbal teas any thought at all. Damn...
A quick search led me to this link:
http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/herbaltea.html
which lists the herbal teas and how safe they may be during pregnancy. It didn't say anything about chamomile and uterus cramping however, and I haven't found that anywhere else either.
I am bummed- I went in for my pre-preg/annual exam and was told to switch from green tea to a black tea
I'm having a hard time finding something that I like enough to drink every day.
I really love green tea, but she said that it eats up folic acid. Booo!
I was told by my OB to stay away from herbal teas, as they may have uterine stimulative effects. I've taken to drinking fruit teas like peach/passion (Celestial Seasonings). My favorite was always Apricot Honeybush, but I've had to give that one up :(

In an effort to cut my coffee consumption, I just went to Teavana and got some really good fruity tea. I was really excited about it till I started reading about herbal teas and pregnancy. For instance, everything I read said that chamomile stimulates the uterus and should be avoided during pregnancy, along with quite a few other herbs.
I went back to the teavana website and they really don't give an ingredients list for their teas and they only listed the fruits that were in the ones I bought.
Does anyone out there have any info on this? I'm hoping I'm just worrying too much.
Whoops! Meant to put this on the baby board.
