This is the ring I picked out and my fiancé proposed with. It an old european cut diamond, .6 of a carat and set in white gold. I love the shape of the stone and in some lights it has an ever so slight yellow hue, which I’ve heard is common in older cut stones. It gives it a lovely warmth! I didn’t really want a 6 prong, but I loved the setting, it sort of looks like a crown! Also I think 6 prongs is more practical and safer for the stone. It a size N.
Sorry for the huge pics!! Don’t know how to resize on an ipad 🙁 the pics don’t really do it justice. It absolutely sparkles like crazy IRL
the center rarely looks as dark as it does in the pic. OECs are deeper, so the center can look different sometimes.

That is a gorgeous ring! I happen to love the 6 prong myself, and you’re lucky to have such a unique stone 🙂

Beautiful ring! OECs are one of my favorite shapes.
FYI for the US Bees a size N is a 6 3/4 in the US.

@ToxicTinkerbell: i have a ring that has what USED to be an old european cut, sadly someone decided to try and make it a modern brilliant cut about 70 years ago. It’s still super pretty but it’s lost some of it’s charm (and made it a poorly cut diamond).
Yours is STUNNING!
