- Wedding: September 2014 - The Secret Gardens
As some of you may know, moissanite is a moody little bugger. It reflects it’s surroundings and, with its famous double-refraction, it dances in the spotlight. I’m newly engaged and currently in the process of uploading photos and videos to share. I started my ring search through WeddingBee forums, and want to reach out to other bees who are doing the same!
Here she is! Charles & Colvard 8mm (2 ct) Old European Cut Moissanite in a cushion-halo setting. For those of you wanting more information on the ring, my FI purchased it through Moissanite&Co. They were so lovely answering my many questions about the various styles I looked into, and created the ring of my dreams! The model number on Moissanite&Co is eng188, and they placed an 8mm OEC center stone in this setting.
Here, right after the proposal in the mountains, it is in direct sunlight. It flashes a rainbow of colors ranging from hot pink, to light blue, to pastel yellow. I am so in love with my ring!
In partial lighting from the side, the moissy shines white.
In direct lighting (coming from a sunset and reflecting the yellow walls of the vacation home) it reflects a warm color. At my room at my parents, I have bright “Victoria’s Secret” pink walls that make the moissy turn a happy bright pink.
And lastly, this is in no light (from under the dinner table).
