Took it to tons of seamstresses. so I guess its a sz 8! I didnt realize this and cannot alter… the $100 was just for the corset. She called me and said “oh come down, bad new” so I did and we will have to take the whole dress apart. This is one of the best seamstresses too…. It would have cost well over $400 to do all I needed to and take it down 6 sizes pretty much. So luckily the lady who sold me it gave me $$ back bc neither one of us 100% knew if I could size it and I am a 0 in the ballgown dept. I actually was not that devastated. Here is the story now…
Please do not be mad at me and think I am nuts lol(maybe I am just stupid )
the girl I sold my Allure dress to, it fits her to a T with no alterations needed. So basically she will be marying in Oct then wearing it just for the ceremony. pretty much she is renting it from me. Then she is overnighting it to me. We have been chatting about this and wedding stuuf/life stuff, all week long and like I feel like we are BFFs. It is weird. But ya, so I will get it back and I am soooo happy for some odd reason . I feel like a dumba$$ for even posting this but have to be honest with you. I sent the dress back to the buyer and have the $$ now.
YES I am happy:) And a little sad but there was alot of doubt about the ballgown not fitting. So in the end it works out. Its not ANOTHER dress I bought, simply one I had and lending it. Quite embarrassing to be writing but I kinda had a feeling that the ballgown would not work. The lady was so kind though. We had everything thru Paypal. Fiance doesnt care:) So I will now be an Allure bride again. I am taking off the sleeves and maybe opening the back to a low v back. I love the lace and its elegant/sexy and simple. Less is more as one of my good friends told me this week. She said that dress was wayyy more me and happy this all worked out.
I think this will be my last post though. I know alot of you will be saying things and I know this is nuts. But I have no one else to really share with. No one really knew about the b/w one and if they did they said “its not really you” I am a plain Jane:)
So I will probably not respond and may be the end of WB for me. I dont want to but feel like you all are going to be upset:( I want to keep writing and sharing though.

@Mrs. Fireworks: I kinda laughed when the seamstress told me though. I was kinda thinking ” of course, its a dress that I fell in love with almost 2 yrs ago” weird. but yes. Maybe I will stay on here. Idk yet….

I don’t think you can post too much dress porn on the WB 😉
I hope you don’t leave but its up to you!
Just remember you will look beautiful no matter what dress you choose, you can’t go wrong.

@Eva Peron: Its just been an ongoing thing and I am sure alot of bees are like “Again???” But ya. I will be getting it in 4 months just as I sent it to her. Then altering it. I ordered my headband so I am happy
Should I go? Or stay?

@Imhisbride: pretty much found the dress I “thought” I wanted after winning an Allure dress which I loved but could never afford, sold that and got the Ballgown from a seller. It cannot be sized to my size. So I am getting the Allure 8764 back.

I don’t mean this ugly at all, but perhaps a blog would be a good outlet for you? Sometimes having a place to write things is therapuetic without having to put them someplace for thousands of peope to see and comment on ykwim? That way you can get out all your feelings about your dress drama, but not invite everyone into it. Like journaling back in the day except less ” Ohemgee so and so looked at me in 5th period!!” and more ” I want to be married and over all of this already!!” haha 🙂

@cherryblossomlove: I’m not sure that any of us could answer that for you, but usually if I have to ask the question to something I already know the answer, you know? Stay if you want, go if you want. But good luck regardless.
