So over the weekend, out of nowere, bf tells me he’s been thinking about a surprise, I, a very curious being, ask him what it is until he tells me a clue. He said it’s something “blue and white, and that’s all I’m saying!”
Now bees, hold on…I have told him I want a blue diamond ring on white gold!!!!! My heart just jumped out!
This is the first time he’s said something like that so I am beyond excited 😀 I know it might still take a while but at least he’s been thinking about it!
Now I need your help, how do I tell him I want some input on the ring? He knows me so well that I’m sure he would do a great job on his own (which is what I think he wants to do) but seeing so many rings here and on websites I kinda would at least like to tell him something I would like…
and here’s where I need your help, how do I tell him? I don’t want him to think I want to control the proposal which I do not want at all, but I would at least like him to know kind of what I would like, my style varies a lot so I know it would be hard for him.
Any ideas? 🙂

@cherriesandcream: How exciting! 🙂 I think it sounds like he’s going to do a fabulous job choosing your ring already, but maybe you can just start randomly pointing things out?

I always have to smile at these posts bc most guys are SO BAD about keeping things a secret they keep hinting until we half figure it out hahaha

@cherriesandcream: I think if he is surprising you that means he already has it picked out. I wouldn’t say anything until after there is a proposal or you get it. Or you could have a conversation about marriage, just bring it up non-chalantly and start mentioning what you like for rings. That may be a better approach. Good luck!

I love these clues they would drop!!! Send him an email or a text with a picture of what you like and point out the features that you like. That way, he has a guideline and he is in charge.

Oh man, this is hard… Is there any chance he’s already picked it out? If so, if I were in your shoes I’d probably back off. Or maybe just pin a lot of rings I like to a board on Pinterest and leave my computer open so he’ll see it… But if I was sure he hadn’t picked it out, then I would just say that I know I am a fairly picky person (you chose him afterall!) and would love to give him an idea of what I want so he has some guidance. He may be really grateful for the help; I’m sure he doesn’t want to get you something you’re only kind of excited to wear.
