I just want to make an official announcement that my husband is OUT of the Army (he's now Reserves) and is moving home to live with MEEEEE!!!!
We've been long distance for a few years, not to mention he spent 15 months in Iraq! He gets his first Thanksgiving home in two years next week. He's pretty psyched =]
Just wanted to say YAY

I think it's kinda tacky to go stay in a hotel and leave her here all by herself. It is a big house, it's not like it's an apartment at least! And I'm not going to shlep mom off to a hotel, either. I think she'd be really upset. It's not like she's in the same room as us 
BUT, she's visiting a friend Saturday afternoon. YES!
I guess we'll just have to watch tv in our pants for a change, lol
My cats will probably try to sit on his face in the middle of the night.

Your mom will be going home before you know it and you two have the rest of your lives together (just stinks she has to be there for his homecoming tho) and your cat comment is totally something I could see happening. Cats are so territorial about certain things. He'll just have to make it known it's HIS spot!
