Oh yes. Except my FI doesn't want to help in the planning, he wants to leave it all up to me, because it's "my" day and it's his "gift" to me. So then when I can't make up my mind about..well...everything..He gets frustrated because I can't decide! Yeah, it's irritating. Just go with what you want. That's what I'm doing lol
Your FI sounds like me! I'd been mentally stalking venues for years - when we finally started looking at ones - it started to be very clear there were certain elements that were 'must haves'. When we finally found 'the one' - I was very hesitant to make the leap, because I wasn't sure what else 'might' be out there. FI (and the hive!) was very helpful in helping me see that it really did have everything I needed/wanted, so it gave me confidence to move forward.
Maybe you could list what the important aspects of the venue are to each of you and then see how this place stacks up. Maybe it will help FI see it's time to stop looking. Also, if you like one over the other, it would probably help him come to a consensus!
I would select 3 venue options and then show him. Have him select his favorite of the three. that's what we did and we are both happy with the decision.
My FH said that he trusts my style/taste and has just asked that I choose things that "don't suck". Hahaha....
What I have been doing is picking a few things and then ask his opinions rather than having him look at all the websites and books I have been reviewing.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
We have two locations pending contract decisions well know he has decided not sure about either one and wants to keep looking. Our date we have picked out is 10/23/10 and all I have is the DIY invites and the DJ who is my uncle.
Why can't he just help me make a decision and stick with it!! But it was the same thing over my ering. I tried on so many that finally after a year of doing this another ring would not go on my finger until it was the one!!
He did well though it is a 3/4 carat marquis salatare with a catherdal setting in white gold. He finally picked that out all by himself.
I am just losing all patience with this!!! Anybody else in this boat with me?
