FI came home yesterday after almost 5 months in Africa - seeing him at the airport was totally overwhelming and it was so good to hug and kiss him again!

Now we're just sitting in OUR house for the first time ever just doing nothing - he was away when it was getting renovated so I was here without him since November.  So wonderful to just be together...

Hope my fellow LDRers get to have the same type of reunion soon - it is better than I imagined...  Yay!

Yay! I'm so happy for you! My FI is in the Navy and he's gone on 3 deployments in the last 3 years. Everytime he comes home I can't even describe how I feel.. it's the happiest feeling in the world! No more deployments for 3 years so this last time he came home was EXTRA exciting :)
Have fun doing nothing with your man :) It's way more fun to do nothing together than doing nothing alone!

    wooo hooooooooo!

Are you still clinging to him? when I finally got to see J after six months, I don't think I stopped touching him (hand on the arm, leg up against his, SOMETHING) for at least 48 hours. I was like a lost puppy.

It felt unreal, like if I let go, he would disappear. :)

So happy for you!  I can't imagine five months without him!  I only do five weeks at a time and it feels like forever!  I think it makes us cherish our time together more.

Hope everyone else's reunions happen soon and joyfully!  <3
