Hey ashleybee! I just got married in San Marcos, just south of Austin, on March 29th this year. I had a few GREAT vendors! Definitely check out Serendipity Photography, http://www.serendipity-photography.com . They were fantastic! Be sure to check out their blog, my wedding was under Brooke and Richard’s wedding, posted early April. They were really affordable, easy to work with, and had some gorgeous photos for us. Definitely check out their a la carte options.

My florist did a great job too, Fiori Del Sole. They were affordable, eager to help me with my crazy ideas, and came back twice after they set up for the ceremony to make sure everything was holding up okay. A+ for service!

Pennington’s in San Marcos has fabulous tasting cakes (they did mine), but Sweet Stuff in Kyle has some fancier decorating. And if you want top taste, Sugar Shack in Wimberley is divine, but she can only do buttercream.

My videographer was about a B+, he did a pretty good job. We got what we paid for, I should say. For about 950 we got coverage for 4 hours, and 3 dvds. Not too shabby. And his work is good, it’s just that his video isn’t the highest HD quality, so it looks like a really great amateur video, I’d say. That was BTL Productions out of New Braunfels/San Antonio.

I can give you the names of a few others if you’d like, but those were my favorites. Any particular vendor you’re interested in?

I live in Austin and was married here back in January. I would recommend Dagar’s Catering. They are fabulous- service and food. My sister was married in December and also used them. We had very different menus and both were great.

My husband and I are wedding photographers as well- hope the teenie promotion is ok. 🙂

Best of luck!

Can people let me know who they used for DJ/videographer & price?  Also, a college friend of mine will be doing our photography.  She is new so very reasonably priced, but her prices are going up, soon!  I can’t believe from her photos that she is fairly new, and I know she is very smart (PhD), organized and nice.  Her packages start at $1k.  PM me if you are interested.

Hey Ashley!  So I know this post was from a few months back, but I thought I’d chip in in case anyone else wanted to know.

Photographer:  Brio of Briophotography.com

DJ:  Mr Thrill  (he was the DJ at our friends wedding  and is great-very unobtrusive and feels the crowd well AND-super reasonably priced; mrthrill.com

Florist:  Beth Redd of Exquisite Petals; again, she was the florist for our friends’ wedding and did a great job, easy to work with and reasonably priced.

We’re going our reception at Shoreline, so I dont have any info to provide on caterers, etc. But so far, they’ve been great!

Hope this helps!

I am getting married in April, but I loved our engagement pictures with Jennifer Nichols so much that I am having her come to my destination wedding in the Caribbean!  She’s really sweet and easy to work with!

hey there!  just noticed your posting, and I am looking at the wildflower center as well…. so I just wanted to give you a heads up that you are required to use a caterer off of their list.  they do have some reasonably priced options, though!  good luck!!!
