- Wedding: September 2013
Hi guys! My fiance’s favorite hobby is brewing beer (and he’s awesome at it!). About a year ago, in anticipation of our wedding, he started making wines as well. Aside from the champagne for the toast, and the liquor for the bar, he will be making all the alcoholic beverages for our wedding (including barrel-aging manhatans for our signature drink, which will be poured out of the barrel itself). Basically, this…
Anyway, we have 4 varieties of wine that he’s made: white zinfandel, malbec, chardonnay, and pinot noir. I’m working on designing the labels right now (craft paper adhesive lables with text only, in the same font (kind of simple and modern) and design as all the other paper in our wedding from invites onward), and really all they have at this point is our first names at the top with ‘&’ between, and our wedding date on the bottom. I’m going to put the name of the wine in the middle.
I was wondering if it might be cute to give the wines wedding-related names, rather than just “malbec” etc. So far I’ve come up with White Dress Zinfandel and Matrimonial Malbec, but that’s where I’m stuck. Are these stupid? Does anyone have any ideas for chardonnay and pinot noir, or any better ideas for white zinfandel and malbec?
Thanks in advancd for any input!!
