I'm currently in Africa but will be back home to get married on August 9!! I'm from Cape Breton.
Hooray! An East Coast board! I am getting married in the Annapolis Valley (where I grew up and where my family still lives) but am living/planning from TO. The wedding is August 09. Looking forward to sharing ideas with you other East Coasters!
I forgot to say where I was from! I started planning in NS, but have moved home to NL where the wedding will take place.
Has anyone else experienced the madness of a Saturday at Winchesters yet? :)
Where did you get your dresses? Bridal & Bridesmaid.
Where are you getting your alterations done? I have contacted both Ultra Bridal and AlterEgo and both can do my alterations in the three weeks I'll have. Anyone use either place? Recommendations?
My dress was altered by the designer. I may need a few nips and tucks before the wedding but I am not too worried about that yet.
... so I don't have any recommendations. Did you check with the bridal stores to see if they can recommend someone to you? they would be the experts!

AlterEgo is in the same place as Winchester's. I'll most likely go with them, but just wondering if anyone had any experiences...
Any east coasters around lately? I'm living in Montreal now, but planning a wedding in my hometown of Halifax - and I have experienced the craziness of Winchesters on a Saturday! I bought my dress in Montreal, but my bridesmaids dresses are from Felicity Bridal in Halifax, and they were awesome there.
Any other Halifax brides? Where are you getting married?

gill84: We're getting married at Hatfield Farm. :) We'll have photos taken there, and maybe some photos of me and the girls at Fisherman's Cove. What's your venue?
I'm from NB, but our wedding is in Wisconsin. We're having a second reception two weeks later in New Brunswick though!!
