I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I'd definitely try it if it means not having to practice law!
So you are thinking about leaving practice?
Our recruiter at my firm is not an attorney, but she is highly respected and well liked. It seems like a position that is demanding, but not lose your entire weekend because an assignment came in Friday afternoon and is due Monday morning demanding (*CRY* thats me!). So that sounds awesome.
The company I'm considering is a national firm. They give strong preference to JD's (all current recruiters are JD's) when filling the recruiter position because they only recruit attorneys and paralegals and want the recruiter to understand the clients' and candidates' perspective/needs.
I think it would be a paycut but I also think I would really like it. I'm just nervous to make the jump into a whole new arena!

Hello my fellow legal bees!
I'm considering a position as a legal recruiter - but it's a big decision! I think I would really like it because it's a non-traditional legal career but it makes me nervous because it is SO different.
Have you ever considered this?
What do you know about Legal Recruiters???
Any thoughts are welcome :)
