I just did a post on this. I am really up in arms over what I’m doing for floral. I have a hate for cut flowers like no ones business.

I’m doing real-touch flowers, from a seller on Etsy. Here’s the package I went with (minus the bouts and corsages):

As for centerpieces, I’m putting together something fairly minimal using silk flowers.

Commenting to follow because I have NO IDEA what we’re doing yet. We’ve got a quote from a florist, but I have no idea what they’re imagining or what to recommend, since we want to stick with in-season flowers. Thanks, gpiglet!

dewingedpixie:  She did a custom package for us for just over $500, including shipping. I found a package I liked on her site and messaged her with a list of how many of each thing I wanted, and she sent me a quote. She even offered to adjust the size of the bouquets to fit my budget, if needed. Her Etsy shop is ShayesBridalBoutique.

Our colours are dusty pink, ivory and gold & we are getting married in a converted barn. Our flowers are all about different textures.

This is is the inspiration photo I gave my florist. My bouquet will be a smaller version of this and with more dusty pink colours.

FI will have a bout like this to match my bouquet:

BMs will be carrying baby’s breath bouquets like this:

And the GMs will have matching bouts:

I’m finding out flowers aren’t that limited anymore since you can get almost any flower you want despite the season, but I think it depends on the florist and how much you’re willing to pay.

I don’t want to spend too much money on flowers or a florist, so I plan on ordering bouquets and bouts from Sam’s Club.

I’m still not sure what to do for decor flowers, but I’m leaning towards something simple like baby’s breath for the ceremony and reusing them in the centerpieces.

linnylou_88:  You have excellent taste! That bouquet and boutonniere are lovely! I love all the dusty tones and textural elements!

Rapunzelle:  Thank you so much!! FI loves to drink mint tea (it’s his favourite drink) so I’ve asked them to slip in a couple of mint leaves into his bout! I just love playing with textures and my florist seems to be able to understand what I’m saying and translate it into flowers for me 🙂

you can barely see them here but I’m not at my home computer where I can upload another one. But hopefully you can see my lovely dahlias, snapdragons, delphinium, yarrow, dusty miller, lilies. I asked for local fall wildflowers in bold colors. Loved them.

I’m leaning towards brooch bouquets all around right now. Our colors are Eggplant, Pumpkin and Forrest. I plan on using jackolanterns for decor. The bouquets maybe placed on the tables as well for decor.
