So there's gotta be more upcoming weddings in Philly than just mine and Miss Candy Corn's..... let us know who you are and when/where you're getting married!
I am getting married next month (June 7th) at the Colonial Dames, a gorgeous histroic house and garden in down town Philly. We are actually having a brunch reception and I can't wait - the countdown is in full effect!
Hi girls! I'm getting married 6/21/08 in Yardley (Bucks County), and our reception is up in Stockton, NJ at the Prallsville Mills (cool restored old mill in the Delaware & Raritan Canal state park system).
I only found Weddingbee a few months ago, but all the awesome ideas I have gotten from the 'Bee recently inspired me to start my own blogging endeavor. I don't have much up yet, and I am technologically-challenged, but here I am: http://andvet.blogspot.com/.
yay philly! miss tiramisu, please post about your friends wedding at OSJ... we live a few blocks away so that is our home church. we're getting married there the end of june, w/ a reception at the down town club. did they do their pics in independence park?
miss tiramisu: I saw your post last week that you were coming to philly for a wedding and was wondeirng where it was. I can't wait to see some pictures! I'm always looking at Philly photogs sites and blogs to see how other brides decorate that church. There are other churches that are closer to The Racquet Club and which would have been more convenient, but I just loved that church!
bellethelama: my fiance is from Downingtown! we're getting married in Louisville, KY, though... but he's in Atlantic City now, and we'll be moving to the Philly area after the wedding (May 2009). Anyway, had to give a Downingtown shoutout!
hi all! i live in philly, but am getting married in lancaster county, pa (the boy's hometown) on july 12th, 2008! we're having a low-key brunch wedding with champagne and dancing. 'cause we had over a year and a half engagement, i've been relying on weddingbee for LONG time and am so happy they started local boards (i never got into the knot ones). hopefully we can plan a meet up sometime.
it's awesome to see that there are lots of us! I'm looking forward to seeing what other helpful threads we can start about vendors and resources and whatnot to help each other out. Philly, UNITE! ;-)
I'm getting married on October 17, 2009 in CC. The reception will be at the Downtown Club and we're still looking for a ceremony location - so if anybody knows about non-religious locations close to Old City that can hold 150 people, let me know!!
This is great! I am getting married on June 27, 2009 at the Cathedral Basillica. The Reception is tentatively scheduled for Fuel House. I have been bored with planning lately, since putting the venue on hold, so this will start me to be motivated again.
