The only way to know, especially since you don’t track your cycle is to take a test. If it’s negative, and AF doesn’t come in the next week, take another one.

@birdy88:  I have them all the time before AF. The only way for you to know is to test. Since you don’t know when your last AF was or if/when you ovulated last, it’s impossible for us to give you any ideas. You have symptoms, only a test will tell. If it’s negative and you still have symptoms test again in a few days. If you’re really unsure, give the doc a call and ask if you can have a blood test done.

As far as a diet, there is this thing called the hCG diet in which people actually take hCG (pregnancy hormone) to help them lose weight, this could produce a false positive pregnancy test. This diet is potentially harmful and also not proven to even work.

@birdy88:  I’ve definitely had sore boobs and not been pregnant. Take a test!

I’ll play devils advocate here.  My boobs would hurt 1-2 days before AF, when I was PG it started at 4DPO (4-5 days early). I knew something was up.

Good luck!

Sore boobs are a symptom of the increased progesterone in your body after ovulation. There’s no way to know if this is just a symptom of the progesterone or if it is pregnancy until you take a test. I will say that my boobs were much more sore in the cycles where I wasn’t pregnant than the cycle where I was.

Take a test. My boobs were always sore before AF, but when I was pregnant my nipples were more sore than they had ever been and hard all the time, my boobs felt heavier, and I could see more pronounced blue veins. I was 6 weeks pregnant when I found out.

My boobs have been sore for the last 6 of the 9 weeks I’ve been pregnant!

Wait until tomorrow morning, then take a test!

@birdy88:  Hmm, not sure. I tend to be a symptom spotter so if I focus too much on my boobs being sore it might seem to last longer than usual!

Definitely update us once you’ve tested! 🙂

Every cycle my boobs start hurting a couple days before I ovulate and they hurt until AF comes. So for about a week and a half. It could be a PMS symptom, but you could also be KU! Look forward to your test!

you should def test. my boobs started getting really sore the night before I got a positive test, and I never really had sore boobs before AF.

My boobs didn’t start to get tender until week 5 or 6, you should just take a test though..mine was positive a week after conception. Based on my due date conception was May 3rd and I tested positive in what is considered week 3 of pregnancy but you are considered 2 weeks pregnant at conception.

It’s confusing but all I was trying to say was my test was positive quite early and my periods are SUPER irregular so I had no idea if I was late or not..but I got a very very strong positive not long after conception (although everyone is different) all that to say just take a test. =]

I hope it works out how you want it to.

I had one cycle where my boobs were crazy sore for days and my period still came.  The cycle where I was actually pregnant, not even a twinge of boob pain …
