cinema --- no way! i am from dallas (though i live in nyc now). it is a GREAT city! i don't have recs for property management companies, so sorry...but i did want to say welcome in advance if you do end up moving. hope you like to eat - dallas has fantastic restaurants! if you have other questions about the city, you can def PM me
Congrats!!! Like @jalter I'm from Dallas as well but currently reside in Chicago. It's a great city and you will love it! We are having our wedding there is April, so excited!!
Do you have any idea what part of town you would like to live in or would like suggestions? I'm pretty familiar with all the neighborhoods and suburbs so I can give you the jist.
I currently live in Dallas and love it! It's really an awesome city. :) Agree with PP, if you have an idea of where you'd like to live (or what area you're working in) I can provide some recommendations. Welcome!
Ahh, sorry it took so long to write back... I forgot to subscribe to this!
I am looking in like west Dallas to arlington... From Arlington to Grand Prairie/Irving and areas in between that. FI is going to UT-A if we do have to move!
And about the restaurants.. thats awesome, because I'm leaving Charleston to move, which is like the food capitol of the south I swear! :)
Ok, sounds cool. I would focus on Grand Prairie/Arlington (the areas off of I-20 and 360); the areas around Six Flags, Rangers Park and the new Cowboys stadium has ridiculous traffic and construction.
In Arlington, I really like the area around The Parks Mall. Irving can be kind of hit or miss. I'm sure UT-A has a housing related website that could provide great reviews!
Welcome to Dallas!
Like Mrs2thDr said: I would focus on like Grand Prairie/ Arlington. In addition to Irving, all those areas are very affordable. If you want a nicer area then you've got Las Colinas (very pretty!)
I live in downtown Dallas, but head west to Fort Worth all the time, love it there! Got to check out Billy Bobs & the Stockyards for sure!
I lived in Arlington for the past 6 years. Holy shit it is time to move! So I am the person for you really if you want to know where to live. Let's see it really depends if you are willing to sacrifice good neighbourhood for price etc. I live in what some call a "sketch" neighbourhood. I don't think so. But then again, I know all my neighbours and we all look out for each other. So I pay $475 for a 700 sq ft apt. I have lived on the nicer end of town and paid $930 for a three bedroom and $570 for a studio bedroom at 500 sq footage. You want to steer clear of places smack downtown Arlington because the freaking Stadium is there. And yes, Arlington-ians hate the stadium like French people hate the Eiffel tower. Though there are some amazing shops popping up about the place
Los Colinas is gorgeous. But very very pricey. My friend pays $1500 for a 2 bedroom apartment. A friend of mine pays $2000 for her tiny townhouse. It's where all the Cowboys starters live. Enough said.
Either way, if you need a friend, you got more questions, just shoot me a PM. Happy to help

I just found out we may be moving to Dallas after the wedding... so I'd love to hear if you have any recommendations on property management companies that have been awesome!
Thanks so much!
