Lol If you’re an Ebay V I guess I’m an Ebay ho!

I’ve bought:

FI’s tungsten engagement ring

my travel wedding ring (don’t want to ruin my eternity band)

tuxes for the ring bearers

vintage hanky (hubby asked if they came with vintage boogers lol)

You can put things on your watch list so you have time to consider. Try and bid as low as possible but if you do keep checking because someone will outbid you if they want it. Also, check what the seller is charging for shipping and where the item is coming from. It may take longer to get to you when coming from overseas as it has to go through customs. Keep in mind to do your reserach as to how much you’re actually saving and remember to find out if it is the quality you were expecting. You can always check the sellers reviews as well.

If you are nervous I suggest trying to purchase something you want that’s only a couple of dollars just so you can go through the motions. Don’t worry you’ll be fine 🙂 There are great deals to be had.

I Ebay far too much! A word of advice… make sure you actually read feedback. A score of 100% doesn’t mean much if the person only has a few transactions, especially if you’re buying something that could be a fake.

I’m both a buyer and a seller. I always make sure to post pictures of the tags or labels of things I’m selling, and I look for those in clothing/shoes. If I’m interested in something with only a stock or vague photo, I find it helpful to contact the seller and request they add real photos. In my experience, the fakers will remove the listing or ignore you.

Also, PayPal is your friend!

I’ve been ebaying for the past decade (since before I was a teenager!) and actually have bought MOST of my wardrobe off of it.  There have also been times in my life when I made a killing off of selling stuff on it.  I love ebay so, so much.  Don’t be scared.  You just need to take precautionary measures.  If you’re antsy about buying for the first time, look at the seller’s return policy.  Unlike the early days of ebay, a lot of sellers now offer returns.  If they don’t explicitly state their policy, email them and ask them.  If an item you receive is significantly not as represented, you’ll be able to get your money back by filing a claim through PayPal–I’ve had to do this at least a dozen times and always won (the amount of good stuff I’ve bought and sold through ebay make those dozen times totally worth it).  Don’t be scared, seriously!  There are so many great deals to be found!  Just make sure you’ve seen plenty of pictures and have a good description of the item, including any flaws (always ask about flaws or whether something is second-quality if the seller hasn’t mentioned it!).

Read feedback.  If there is negative feedback forget about that seller.

I love Ebay. So far, I have gotten great deals on floating candles, rose petals, toasting flutes and our desert set. A big thing to watch is the shipping charges, because with those added it might not really be a good deal. I like to stick with sellers that have an Ebay store. For some reason I think they are more legit.

I’ve bought stuff off of ebay. I got a few brooches for my bouquet and some random stuff for my BF, and it always shows up quickly and in good condition.

I actually purchased my brooches from Hong Kong, which made me nervous, but for $0.99 I couldn’t pass them up! And they will work perfectly!

Plus PayPal is, as far as I know, secure and great with returns and scam refunds.
