@Koifish:  First of all-Welcome to the HIVE!

Congrats on your impending engagment and joining us other waiting bees!  Being on the waiting boards def helps me from going bonkers while waiting haha!

Looks like its time for you to do the following:  Join the waitinglist!  There’s other waiting bees on here and as we get engaged, we let everyone know to take us off the list!

Some of us also play a game called the shut it up pact, which you may or may not find helpful.

Look forward to chatting with you more in the future!

@Koifish:  Welcome to the hive!! I like being on the waiting list, it makes me feel like I’m getting closer (even if I’m not really…..whatever).

What did you like while ring shopping?  Share details!

@Koifish:  That’s a good start, but honestly I’d still encourage you to go with him, or at least give him a detailed online lesson.  There’s still so much variety (twists, prong, bezel, stone shape, pave set side stones, channel set side stones….) and unless he has really good taste and a really good sense of your preferences (my BF fails on both counts), going with him to at least show him what you like would be good.

Maybe then he could go back without you to purchase.  Another possibility is if you were both adament that you not go shopping would be for him to make sure they have a window of time for exchanging in case you don’t like it.  Then he could do his best, and if you hate it you could try again together.

Welcome to the Hive! 🙂

Ooh, it sounds like the wheels are in motion! How exciting! Ring shopping can be a blast or it can be overwhelming. I personally liked it, but my SO burned out pretty quickly. Whether you decide to go with him or not, I would suggest doing some homework beforehand… Look into color, clarity, etc. Just so you know what you are dealing with before you enter the store.
