High neck boleros for strapped dresses…does it work

springbee2015:  rather than a traditional bolero or bridal jacket, I would suggest an organza wrap or shawl, along this idea. This is not the one I am thinking of, but I’ll keep looking for it,

springbee2015:  So you’re making the straps detachable? If so, and what you want to do is wear a bolero, why do you need the straps at all?

The other option would be to move the straps so that they’re off the shoulder (an option for this dress – see below), and get a bolero that starts from the straps then covers the shoulders.

springbee2015:  why don’t you get the straps made detachable then? Wear it with straps and show off your cleavage at the reception, but wear it strapless but covered up with a bolero for the ceremony?

This Essense dress has a jacket that could maybe work, since it covers up the cleavage somewhat:
