What is all included in the venue’s price? Tables, chairs, linens, food, the bartender?

Oh okay that’s fine. Is their price for the venue seasonal? Like would it have been cheaper to have a wedding in the colder season or is that a flat rate? Sorry I’m trying to look at the price from every angle to determine. So far it seems reasonable. The venues in my area cost about the same.

Wait, you get to buy the drinks at cost and pay just a $5 pp fee (plus $25/hr bartender)?  That sounds GREAT to me.  The state I got married in refused to allow this.

If the $1/pp fee for the soda is in addition to the corkage fee, maybe try to negotate that by arguing it’s double paying (corkage AND soda when people were likely to only drink one or the other).

If the $5 corkage fee includes mixers, then that is a pretty good price.  $1 per soda on top of that is a bit odd, though, esp. since you would already paying for that soda in the corkage fee.  I’d try to negotiate that, or see if you can just buy cans of soda and bottle of water for those that don’t want to drink.
