So me and my friend were pretty close in high school – shared a lot of the same tastes and what not. Well on top of us geting engaged to our respective guys on the same exact day we also apparently picked the same dress – She got married 2 weeks ago and I am getting married later this year. She looked so goregeous in it. So now I am debating on if I should make any major alterations to the dress to try and make it more my own. What do you think?

I doubt anyone will notice. Wear your dress the way it is and have a great time! It looks great on you 🙂

@lovenbugg37: how many people will even be at both weddings? And of them, how many will notice? (Your fiance won’t).

Pretty dress! I agree with the previous posters that it is unlikely that many people will notice.
But if you want to make it different, you could always add small sleeves. I cannot think of anything else to add, because the dress is already quite decorated. Perhaps a belt, but I think that would take away from the overall look. There is not much room for difference without completely changing it, imo.
Off the shoulder straps or sleeves would probably go quite well with the dress, and would make quite a difference.

No one is going to notice, besides there are many many brides who probably have worn the same dress.
What matters more here your dress or getting married?

What makes the dress different is that you are in it, not her. Dont focus on her wedding, focus on yours.

It looks lovely on you, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Y’all are so right – thank you for talking me off the crazy ledge 🙂 Since her and I got engaged on the same day I have this paranoia that our mutual friends are comparing us but at the end of the day that is not what matters.

You picked that dress because you obviously loved it! I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m sure your hair will be different, you’ll be wearing different jewelry, you could get a different veil. But don’t touch the dress! It’s so pretty as it is and nobody will notice.
