Like many of you, I have be surfing the boards and lurking for quite sometime before I made first offical post. Just wanted to say hello and share my proposal story with you. My fiance and I have known each other since I was 14 and he was 16 (we are now 29 and 31); we met at high school. We had some ups and downs and had actually broken up at one point. Last Saturday (18th October) he proposed in the very same classroom at our high school where we had first met (or should I say where he claimed I was mean to him LOL).
The day started with him telling me we were going to lunch. I wasn’t feeling well the whole week so i kept telling him NO! LOL, but after asking about 4 times I gave in. As we were on our way, we passed our high school and he suggested we just take a look around as we both haven’t been there for many years. However, as soon as we parked the rain started to pour so he suggested we go to lunch and then try again after. Lunch was nice even though I couldn’t eat much but we had a good time. Again we passed by our high school and as we are turning in I started to wonder “why is he so insistent on going that day?”. Nevertheless we got out and started walking around, talking about the good times we had at school. Then we got into the classroom where we first met and as I was going on and on about something, I realised I wasn’t hearing his voice anymore, so I looked around only to find him on one knee with the ring box open. He was saying the sweetest things, many of which I cannot remember…… I was in total shock!!!! Later he told me my hands were covering my mouth and I kept repeating “really, babe?!?!?” (I thought I was saying that in my head, not out loud ) But it was beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal. It seemed like I was waiting forever but it was well worth it. I know when you are waiting it doesn’t feel that way, as I used to roll my eyes when people would say that (*shame*…LOL) but it is very true!!!!!
The first picture was taken right after I got over the shock. Excuse the nails, I always had my nails freshly painted in anticipation but of course he would catch me off guard LOL, and the second is after I got home and painted them immediately.
