I've never been to a wedding here, but I did site check it as well. I think it depends on the type of guests you have...if you have older folks who just like to watch the dance floor, it's an awkward set-up. But if you have younger guests or people who will be on the dance floor most of the time, it will be fine. I wouldn't let the dance floor be the only deal breaker! Did you check out the Manor? Owned by the same people.
I didn't look at the manor for my wedding, but I have been to two weddings there. It has beautiful grounds, good food, but they do have more wedding there - on the same floor. I don't think it's a huge issue, but something to consider.
I am getting married there on Saturday! We initially were concerned about that, but they allowed us to put our 10-piece band in a different spot, so it now works for us.
What type of venue look are you hoping to find? Modern? Traditional? How many guests?
I worked there a lot for a event company and it has really nice views. The dancefloor didn't seem to be a problem.

I've just visited a few venue sites this weekend and would love some input on the Highlawn Pavillion - I loved the view (of course!) and the event manager seemed to be pretty flexible and willing to work with us. My only hesitation is the set up of the room on the top floor. It's in a 'T" shape and guests probably won't be able to see the dance floor - was this an issue for anyone that had their wedding there?
