I am Hindu and my fiance is Syrian Christian (Mar Thoma). Our wedding is next year (Oct 2015) in the New York/Long Island area. We are planning to do a Hindu ceremony and a Christian ceremony on two separate days. We are having trouble finding a Christian priest who is familiar with Syrian Christian traditions and is willing to marry us, despite the fact that I am not a member of any church/denomination. If anyone has any suggestions or references, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

Hi there!<br />Oh my you’re lucky I saw this.
There is an Achen from New York named Manoj Zachariah. He used to be Marthoma but changed denominations. He is Malayalee but grew up in New York. Ask your FI to look him up. I believe he currently the Sub Dean for the Christ Church Cathedral in Cincinnati. Contact him and ask?

Hi, First and foremost congrats. I was wondering if it would be best to approach your nearest local church as some of them work closely together and be able to find you a suitable priest. The reason why i suggest this because you need make sure the priest your choosing is liecenced to undergo a ceremony.
Also if you require a wedding film, be sure to check out http://www.filmartpictures.com. All the best for your planning. Best Wishes,

You may want to check out a Unitarian Universalist minister. They tend to be well versed in all of the world’s religions, and are more than willing to do interfaith weddings as well.
