Exciting! What day is he hinting about? I dont have any hints, really. He set up a surprise dinner, but then explained it was a surprise for Valentines day. I just don't think he has had time to get a ring so I'm not holding my breath.

Getting hints left and right but they are soooooooooooo annoying to me because I am STILL waiting- like for the past 3 days, he has been bring up the wedding and the rings, getting engaged soon, then how he can't wait for our special V-Day weekend, etc. I am like enough already.

My bf is very to the point and doesn't hint around. So the good thing is I guess I'm not wondering. The bad thing is I know a proposal is several months off lol. I think the hinting is kinda exciting though.
Taylor4- Valentine's day, which is a surprise to me because we aren't big on that day.lol Just strange. I'm not expecting anything. He might be trying to throw me off from my birthday in April. A special dinner? Well, you never know! I didn't know mine even had the ring. Your guy may be super sneaky.
MissTattoo- It is and nerve wracking!
Armychica06- I hope so! Aww, your guy's throwing those hints! You never know, that special weekend may be the weekend! That'd be romantic, proposal in NYC!
I hope it happens! I totally feel you on the pretending not to notice so he doesn't change his plans lol. We have planned a weekend getaway at the end of the month. Normally I would be asking why are we doing this (we usually only go there for our anniversary - I think now it is probably in place of Valentines), why do you want me to actually take a day off work instead of calling in sick (calling in sick is super easy for me, automated system, certain number of days per year - he said, "What if people find out you went" ??? - normally I would ask, "How would they find out?" but didn't), he has been super adamant about me booking a massage, and also after we discussed it he asked for the day off the very next day. I usually have to get after him to be on top of things like this.
But alas...I'm sure it's for nothing. Well, for Valentines like I said. But I can't question anything because I don't want to "ruin" anything. Like one of my engaged girlfriends said when I told her my bf bought the ring: "Oh geez, now you have to do whatever he wants until he gives it to you! Any time could be the time!" :P
FI pretty much gave it away 6+ months in advance. So that, on top of my snooping, made me KNOW when it was. He brought it up all of the time. haha.
MademoiselleL - Oh, that sounds promising! VERY, if he's saying people will find out.LOL Yeah, I'm so good at playing like I don't notice, it's funny. I think your firned is right about the ring too. That's how I've been feeling since I learned he bought it.LOL
@MsMamaBear: I know right? Even if it doesn't happen, I don't think anyone would blame me for hoping after all of these "hints". My friend is so right. Her FI proposed at home. He asked her to come onto their deck, and usually she would have said she was busy or something, but she went since she knew he had it and he proposed!
I hope it happens soon for everyone here :)
No hints recently, though he did tell me around the holidays that I would be getting it in January or February. It's killing me knowing it's so close! He has been extra lovey-dovey lately, though, even though he's working longer hours (personal trainer with all those new years resolutions).
I said today that I can't wait for spring because I'll get two things I've been so excited for (moving in with him and a dog). His response? "Yeah, at least two things"
Gah!! I don't know if he was referring to an engagement, but I too just ignored it. He really could have been talking about other things and just completely oblivious to how I took it.
@MademoiselleL: Oh my, that sounds SUPER suspicious!!! And you too, MsMamaBear! How on earth are you guys keeping it together?!? I would be a complete mess.
Right when midnight struck at this past New Year's, he started acting weird and I thought he was going to do it, and I seriously had to ask for a chair because my legs were shaking so bad at the mere prospect. Turns out he was just being sweet :\
@MaggieMae2609: I have some previous posts about ugly crying breakdowns :) Since I've started the V day challenge I feel better though - trying to take it one day at a time and not freak out too much!

Oooh this board sounds so promising...I hope its soon for all of us! I dont want to get my hopes up but I just cant help it. Im gonna go with the flow!

Ok, my SO has been giving hints about a certain day and I'm pretending I don't notice, so he WILL do it then and not just throw hints. I haven't said a thing about being engaged, so it's not coming from me. I swear, this just gets me all excited and stuff.LOL
