Has anyone hired an out of state band before? If so, what costs should be considered?

I hired an out of state DJ. Depending on how far, transporation and hotel will have to be provided. Since mine flew and couldn't bring his sound system, I had to rent a sound system and turn tables. The combination of flight, hotel, and equipment was $1500. So it's not cheap if they're far away!

But if they're within driving distance, that's a lot cheaper and you would probably only need to provide hotel.
