I hit a wall right after doing up the design for the invites. It was so draining. Right now, some days I can find something to get excited about and other days I just feel blah.  I think it’s okay to take a break especially if you have the major stuff all set.

I leapt into the wedding planning, after 2 months – I was DONE! Even wedding dress shopping was a little unexciting, however when I found MY DRESS I got the little butterflies again πŸ™‚
I suggest you shift your focus on another project and keep yourself away from wedding planning for a while. You know what they say “Absence makes the heart grow forder” πŸ˜‰

Ah this happened to me last year, but I could afford to take a break for a few months. I suggest, just stop where you are and don’t do anything for a week or so, then you will be ready to get back at it πŸ™‚

I took a break from my wedding last month, just didn’t have the energy to deal with it, no talking to vendors, no worring over bridesmaid drama, no worring about the money, the only thing I did was maybe look at some wedding porn πŸ˜‰ I can’t help myself. The wedding and I are on speaking terms again this month, I feel much better for it. I noticed we’re date twins, I think its something that just happens to most girls about this stage — take a break! It SO helps.

With 7 months to go, just take a break and see if you change your mind.  We got engaged w/ 5 months to the date.  Although I couldn’t have gotten a venue or ordered a new dress in much less time, I’ve had plenty of time for the rest.

@Bubu82: I’m dragging my feet on paper things too, I feel like I should be sending out my STD’s but I just can’t bring myself to do all that work just now.

Also: YAY FOR SHOE THERAPY!

@Bubu82:  I think the best (only?) reason to go all-out on invites is that you really enjoying that process.

No one will enjoy themself any more or less because you had luxurious (or simple) stationary.  The ladies (mostly) that are really into paper will take note when they get it, but even a minority of them will hang onto it until the wedding.  I love stationary, and I couldn’t recall the details of a single invite that I’ve ever received if my life depended on it.

Don’t let paper be the thing that spoils your fun planning.
