Martha Stewart's site has some cute ideas that might work for you!
Punch a hole on one side of each escort card. Buy ribbons with your colors and thread through the hole. They will look like colorful streamers.
You could tack them to a white washed row boat paddle. OR string them on a colorful ribbon.
I love Poli2be's ideas for the escort cards or maybe the ever popular tree escort card holder, it would look so bright and cheery with your colors!
For beach themes I always like starfish or sand dollars. Could you do something with shells?
The first idea could serve as a place card and favor. The second one is smaller but also cute.
Thanks ladies!
Love the idea with the paddle, way cute.
I really always wanted to do it with starfish but even when buying in bulk it's pretty pricey just for an escort card!
Favors is what I'm really struggling with since I want it to be good... I've seen some great ones out there and some can be so bleh. I know food is always good (contemplated getting a flip flop mold and getting chocolates made... then doing the "perfect pair" tags)... I just know I don't want to do anything that will be trash.
i saw the cutest escort cards. it was a bunch of drink umbrellas and they were all open & sitting in a box filled with sand. each umbrella had a name tag/table # attached to it. it was so perfect for a peachy wedding & you could definitely get those umbrellas in your colors.

My wedding was river themed and we used edible "sand" for favors. They could easily double as escort cards too.

I originally won 25 of these during one of Weddingbee's contests (Thanks Bee!!!) and actually bought the supplies to make my own so that we'd have enough for every guest. We removed their original tags and made new tags to reflect our theme and colors. They were a hit. Everyone thought it was actual sand at first.
I did the starfish for mine, it actually wasnt as expensive as you'd think. I bought them in bulk on ebay from a seller World Wildlife Products. I actually called them and got a better deal on the phone and got a different size than was listed on their ebay listings (they only had bulks of 50 and 25).
I paid $120 (including shipping) for 300 starfish (stupid me didnt realize I only needed half that because I was doing one per couple, not one per person) It did work out though because they ranged in size from 4-6" so I was able to get them all the same size more or less.
Heres a link to their store if you want to check it out http://stores.shop.ebay.com/WORLDWIDE-WILDLIFE-PRODUCTS_STARFISH-and-BLOWFISH_W0QQ_fsubZ12QQ_sidZ94410341QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322
@misscamera those are adorable!! I wish I could find an excuse but those don't match my theme ;)
@futurefisher, can you explain/show the tree idea more??
thanks!
I love the sand idea! And the tag is so cute! I hope our favors are that put-together looking :)
The sand idea is fantastic. This is a nice little package and you could even add a custom tag with your colors.
@Miss Camera, where did you get the edible sand from? Did you make it yourself or buy it?
I found this Candy Apple dressed up as a favor -- thought it looked pretty interesting.

I've seen all the basics and can't think of something good... this is where I need the creative bees and hive...
I need something creative that is beachy/tropical for escort cards and a favor!!
Help!
Some quick info about my wedding...
On a big yacht in Newport Beach that is all windows and completely white, making it pop with a tropical theme using fuchsia, lime, and tangerine colors.
