I'm getting married (and actually live) in MD, but am currently in England. I'll be down for a meetup in June when I'm back!
I'm getting married in suburban MD and live there too (but I work in NOVA and grew up there!) Let's get some more people on this board!
I'm planning a wedding in CA but i live in Downtown DC... i'd definitely be up for a get together :)
I work in Fairfax but I am getting married in White Post (about 1 1/2 hrs from DC). I am trying to use NoVA vendors however since there is a much better selection here then where we live..in the middle of nowhere :)
Does anyone have any recommendations for a hairstylist/make up artist in this area that is willing to travel? Thanks!
I live in NOVA and we are getting married in NOVA. I would be up for a get together of the NOVA brides. How is everyone's planning coming?
Not that the DC board is blazing with activity, but I think part of the problem is that we have 2 separate boards for DC/NOVA. How would y'all feel about requesting that they be joined up?
I agree that joining the DC and northern Va and probably also MD boards make sense.
I live in NYC, but will be getting married in northern VA. probably can't do a get-together but would appreciate some community.

Hello. Living in Arlington, marrying in Ocean City, MD (my hometown).
I live in NOVA, but am likely getting married in NJ. However, I'd love to meet up with some loal brides here.
raised in TX, now living in NOVA, wedding in DC, will be moving to MD after wedding. would love to meet up with y'all!
I'm going to get the ball rolling here and request that we join the DC and NOVA groups. I'm getting married in just a few weeks, but I'm TOTALLY up for a meeting with you gals- how about sometime in March?

I got married on the Eastern Shore in October, but live in Arlington. I'd love to share my experience with other brides. I agree that joining with DC is smart (and possibly Baltimore and Annapolis brides as well?)
Getting married in Northern VA, but planning from Alabama (thanks, Army!) Can't make a get-together, but nice to meet everyone!
If anyone gets married in Alexandria, I recommend Hollin Hall Pastry. Mmmmm!!!

ok bees- I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one. Lets meet in March. How about the third Sunday in March for coffee/tea in, say Georgetown somewhere? I'll get in touch with the DC/MD bees (Tiramisu, Tulip, Perfume, D'orsay)- did I miss anyone?
srthomas--when is your wedding date?? what venue in Landsdowne are you using?

Landsdowne is a great spot. I'm getting married across the street at Belmont Country Club.
Tag--I'm getting married at Belmont Country Club, too!! Will you be having the ceremony there as well as the reception?
Tag--Since the wedding is in December, we can't do an outdoor ceremony. We'll either do the ceremony inside the ballroom or in a heated tent out on the terrace right outside the ballroom. The cocktails will be in the manor house and then the reception will be in the ballroom... I'm really excited about Belmont. You're much further in the planning process than I am; how has your experience with Belmont been so far?
Did anything ever come of requesting this board be joined with the DC one? Just curious.

So I noticed we are a bit quiet in the nova board, and I was just wondering if any of you are still active here?! I would love to plan some kind of get together, so maybe if we spark some interest in the maryland, dc and virginia boards we can all meet up!
