I am back for more hair help please 🙂 I had a hair trial done a while ago but I have another hair and make up trial booked for a few weeks time with another stylist as the last person had to cancel (long story). I don’t normally wear my hair up so am not too sure about this look from my last trial. My hair is naturally very straight and a bit longer now, probably around 2 inches beyond shoulder length.
I don’t know whether to go for something like in this trial or half up/half down instead. I like the front but I think the back is a bit messy and I’m not sure if I can get away with all up.
What do you reckon, should I go with something like this or change it to something else? My dress is the last picture. Ignore the make up in these pics (or attempts at!), that was me. (I grabbed pictures when I got home as I wore my hair like that to a ball we went to after I had it done).
Sorry, don’t know how to make these smaller! Thanks ladies!

I think your hair looks very pretty pulled up, but it almost looks like it’s just in a ponytail and curled. I’d see if the stylist can do something a little more formal.

I like the front and the back does look a little messy, maybe too curly. Although, I like the way it looks in the last pic!

I would see if this person can try something a little more formal or tucked in… the way it’s styled here won’t last very long on a wedding day, I think towards the end of the night it would be pretty messy.
If you’re not sold on the totally updo hair, try a half up & down – I think it would look nice with your dress.

Kind of looks like a sloppy curly ponytail. I think you should have it re-done

You are so pretty! I like the curls but I’m not sure about the two curls in the front. They seem too deliberate maybe? I like you hair better down but if you have you heart set on it up, I’d ask for a more polished look. That’s just my opinion! You’re going to look great no matter what-ooh lala!

I like the first one, but I reckon the bunch is a bit low.

I did my hair very similarly, and my first hair trial turned out about the same as yours… ok, but not quite what I was hoping for.
I asked my stylist to give me a little ‘poof’ on the crown of my head, and curl all the hair on the sides separately, then just pin them back so the curls stood out more and my hair wasn’t flat against my head. In the end, the result was exactly what I wanted!
These were my inspiration photos:
And this was the final result (sorry they are blurry — I resized them so you could see it better):

Thank you, it isn’t just me who thinks it isn’t quite right then 🙂 My Mom couldn’t understand what I was on about!
I am going to go for a trial with the new stylist and ask her to try half up and half down and also try this again but more like piglet’s hair, that is more what I was after when this attempt appeared!
Thanks for your help Bees 🙂

It kinda just looks like it fell in a bad way on your first one. Good luck with your new trial!

I like the front…but not the back.
I think Piglet’s hairstyle would look very pretty on you!

I am using this hair style and yes the extensions too. It is somewhat similar.
I like this style as it gives more height.

I love the way your hair looks!

The front looks lovely.. the back just looks messy to me.

I like your half up, half down idea since the dress is strapless.
