You could do all of your paper products (STDS, invites, response cards, thank you cards, table numbers, programs, etc…).  Favors are often handmade, or your guestbook could be DIYed.  Besides table decor, could you make other decorations?  We have a big fireplace and mantle, so we’re doing something special for that.  You could make decorations for your cake table, present table, guest book table, etc…  You can also make/decorate any keepsake items you might have (cake cutting set, toasting flutes, cake topper, etc).

I suggest making jewelery for your BM’s to wear.  This would be a really fun project that could keep you busy for quite a while.  Plus it will mean a lot to your girls 🙂

There’s always something that you can do to add a little personal touch!  In addition to the great suggestions already given, you can:

– make custom coloring books from your digital photos for the little ones at your reception

– sew your own ring pillow

– make floral monograms, like Mrs. Ladybug did

– wrap small chocolates with pretty decorative paper, like these on Once Wed

– for something on a smaller scale, you can make something sweet to include in your out-of-town bags

There are so many things you can do!  I’ve found great inspiration on Once Wed, Vintage Glam Weddings, and Twig & Thistle.  PM me if you need more ideas.  :o)

I did DIY favor bags using a rubber stamp, ribbon, and some muslin bags from papermart.com.  I also made pretty little cards to be used with our guestbook (people will write notes on the cards and drop them in a birdcage).  I made my own cake topper (sewn birds in a nest) and flower girl pomanders.  Now I am working on signs for the favor table and candy jars.  I’m also going to make cute little weekend timelines for the bridesmaids and a sign for the room where we’re getting dressed.
