Oooh. I won’t lie, they look kind of weird, but I guess that’s kind of part of the appeal, hey? =) They’re cool, that’s for sure. Probably would look best at a wedding with a modern feel, though….

Wouldn’t they look funky with a ribbon tied around the back?! Like it’s floating in mid-air…ooh, spooky! =D LOL.

oh, one of the ladies in my office was talking about these chairs but got scared by the price (she doesnt work here anymore so i dont remember but it was huge)

personally i like the other chairs you were obsessing with… would these chairs work without all the neon lightening?? do you want neon lightening?

I think they’re neat, but you’d HAVE to go modern with it. Are you thinking black tie/formal/classic or black tie/formal/modern and chic? I think if you want edgy and chic, you MUST have these chairs. I think they’re way neat. But, they don’t work in every venue and if you just bring them into your ballroom, they may or may not match.

I like ’em though! Very sleek

Post a pic of your ballroom! With the right lighting i think they could work. Sheiky/chic, these defijitely may fit in.

You could use floralytes on the tables to add some pop of fancy/chic color. I love those stupid little lights, but they don’t work at my local.

You could try "up-lighting" the chairs, too. (Maybe putting little coloured LEDs in your wedding colours underneath each chair…it would give the chairs some colour, and a nice glow.)

I love lucite chairs! I also love the photo with the polka dot sheer over it… how cool!

In another one of your (many-haha) chair posts you mentioned that you wanted your guests to be "wowed" by your chairs… this will do it. I’ve only seen these chairs in furniture stores, never ever at a wedding!

I think they are absolutely gorgeous! However, I’m not sure I’m totally sold on the uplighting… I prefer the first picture. The chairs make such a statement on their own, do you think lighting the chairs may be a little too much?

Geez MsHyman– I love your style!

I love the look of the Ghost chairs in residential use, but have you checked out the comfort factor and the price factor?  It definitely wouldn’t be worth it to me to spend $30 just to rent a chair, even though they’re beautiful.  I’d take the extra money to upgrade some other facet of the guest’s experience, and then just buy one of the Louis Ghost chairs for my home, to satisfy my Ghost craving.  🙂

I agree about having the lighting and a really modern look.  Otherwise it might look weird.  But I’m not really familiar.  And that look isn’t my style anyway.  I guess I look at them and just think they look like plastic.

Goodness are they really $30 to just rent?  That wouldn’t be worth it to me either.
