    Anyone else a little befuddled with maternity outfits for the holidays?

    My office holiday party is usually pretty dressy. Ladies in short cocktails/dressy pants, men in full suits or vest and ties and/or blazers.

    Andddd my mom just told me we have a family wedding to go to on Christmas Day (yuk).

    I'm 15 weeks now so I don't know if I'll be showing by then! I'll be roughly 22 weeks.

    This is what I'm thinking about. Is it too much for a pregnant lady? For a office holiday party and wedding?

    I like the black one and thinking of pairing with gold pumps and gold accessories to make it "festive".

    What are you thinking of wearing for the holidays?

    I LOVE that black dress! And honestly even on the model, I can barely tell she's pregnant--black is just really slimming, especiaully head on.

    Sidenote: wedding on Christmas Day?! Wow!

    I have a plain black, knee length, boat neck maternity dress that I feel like i will be wearing ALL holiday season. It is super comfy and flattering, and it was given to me by a friend. I can't seem to bring myself to spend money on maternity clothes.

    EDIT: I feel like you would have to be REALLY thin to wear that dress. But it's beautiful!

    I like the dress! I think it would look good and I would wear the same dress to both events. My 1 yr anniversary is on NYD, I may look for something similar to wear when we go out.

    Ugh, I've been having the same discussion with myself about holiday attire.  I have at least three dressy holiday events this year, and I'll be between 23 and 27 weeks for all of them.  Ideally, I'd like to just buy one outfit, and use it for all three occasions, because I'm cheap and don't want to spend a lot on soemthing I'll only wear once...  If anyone else has any suggestions, help a girl out, ok?

    I like the dress you linked, but I don't think I could pull it off, lol.  By 22 weeks, you'll probably be showing some, but not a ton, so I think your belly is likely to still be small and cute!  (As opposed to my ginormous, twin-sized belly, lol).

    @hilsy85:

    I know right?! I used to be meh on that. Now being invited to one I do not like it one bit! My family is 8hours away and we're only home for Christmas every other year. So I hate that our Christmas will be spent at a wedding. The worst is that it's not even a first cousin. But they are inviting our whole family so my mom and brothers and family will be going. And they came to ours so we have to go since we will be in town.

    @MissDareDevil:

    Me too! But all my fancier dresses are not empire and snug at the waist so no way I can fit into them. So unfortunately I will have to buy one for the holidays. At least it's only £27.00 from ASOS!
    In your experience how much more room is available in the mid section in maternity dresses? I'm afriad if I"m not "big" enough it'll be swimming in the mid section?

    And hehee. ..I'm 5'5" and 115 pre-pregnancy and have gained a total of 5lbs so far.

    @trugem:

    Thanks! This one is from ASOS!

    @mommytobee:

    Yowzer, you have it harder than me! GL!

    @Mrs. Spring:

    Are you having twins? Did I miss that? I would totally rock that dress with a big bump! But what about a knit wrap dress? That way it can "grow" with you?

    @regberadaisy:  No twins, just a big belly.  :(  I wasn't this big with Addie until I was like 7 months (!), but it's so true what people say about getting bigger, faster with the second pregnancy.  I 'm still down 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I look huge!

    I do have a couple wrap dresses I could use, if I don't find anything else.  I'd like something a little dressier, though, if I can find it.  I love the lace on the dress you picked, but I'm having a hard time finding something dressy enough that I really like.

    There's a bunch others on ASOS that I really liked as well that are more flowy so that you can grow into it.

    I like it! You'll definitely be showing. I know everyone is different, but I'm 19 weeks and I am.

    @plantains:

    How do you like their quality?? I've never ordered from them before? How's the return policy?

    @Mrs. Spring:

    I like both of those! I can see the shorter one with tights/leggings and a cute pair of booties! :) Oh also, do you have a H&M near you? They have really cute maternity wear. :)

    @zippylef:

    hahha-I hope so! I really want to have a bump during the holiday season! Hehe

    @regberadaisy: just from what i know from the maternity clothes i have, they look great even if you're belly isnt too big. my belly is by no means "big" yet, but i can fit into most maternity shirts and dresses (just not the jeans/pants) without them looking too big. good luck!

    So thankful I shouldn't have any dressy holiday functions this year! I'm already feeling frumpy and fat, so I might just wear pajamas all Christmas break.:)

    I love the dress and it looks like it would work whether you're showing or not. I have a couple dresses that are a "jersey-like" material so they have a bit of stretch to them. I figure I can pull one of those out and accessorize the hell out of it if I have a holiday thing pop up.
