Hey!! I’m pretty new here myself! I’m also doing a Old Hollywood, Vintage type wedding in an Old Art Deco Theater! I’m having the ceremony and reception there.

If you do image searches for Old Hollywood theme, you’ll get a lot of ideas. The ones I’m thinking about are the Ostrich Feather centerpieces, movie names instead of table numbers, a red carpet aisle, very glam accessories (fascinators, caged veil, art deco style jewelry etc), I kind of like the idea of using the large balloon too. I’m still really nailing everything down!

As far as a playbill – I’ve been finding a lot of great ideas and cheap resources on Etsy – check these out: http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=playbill&search_type=category&category=weddings.invitation

Hope this helps!

@MrsD2Bee: We have the same wedding date and theme. I am doing old hollywood glamour. I wish I could have found an old theater; that would have been perfect. I am also doing ostrich feathers in eiffel tower vases. My colors are red, black, and white with hints of damask print. I will have a red carpet runner outside the venue. My bridemaids will wear black and I had red/blk flowere made for their hair. For the table numbers I am using famous actors from that era w/ a red bkgrd and damask flourishes. I’ll use fake jewels to amp up the glam for the gift tables and so on. My dress is ivory/cream and I have a birdcage and fascinator. My bouquet will be red roses w/ diamond like jewels and black feathers. This is such a fun theme, very sexy, romantic, and classy. If you like, I can send you pics of things I have made. Happy planning!

I got married in March of 2011 and did a 40th bday party with a surprise wedding.  No one knew that we were getting married.  I have yet to depart with anything (decorations)  but here are a few pictures.  I did everything myself.  This was very over the top and elaborate.  Colors were red, black and white.  We asked that no one wore gold as this was our color.   If you have questions, just ask.
