Okay so I'm a wanna-be photographer (but all I've really done so far is spend too much on photography equipment and sell a few prints at art shows), with a never-visited flickr page and an intense love for the Pioneer Woman (love ree!!). For the 3 of you out there who might not know, she is a super famous blogger who is beautiful, a wonderful cook, and a great photographer.
Sometimes she calls for reader photos of a specific topic, then she will choose a selection of them to display every day and she will pick winners from each group. This week's request was for sunset photos, and she got HUNDREDS (I think thousands even). Well, today in the very first! group! is my photo and I'm so excited I could burst. Not only that, but when you go to her main page and her tabs cycle through each area of her website, MY photo is the one she picked to represent the photo tab for the day. EEK!!
Okay maybe I'm a huge dork but the idea that thousands of people are looking at my photo today makes me all kinds of squishy happy inside! this is probably the most people as will ever see a photo of mine! (I'm Clerksgrl btw)
Edited to add: the photo i submitted is my favorite sunset photo from the beach where FI and I got engaged... yay!

That's awesome, Congrats!! I love Pioneer Woman, and especially her photography section (what got me hooked in the first place). It sure is a beautiful photo :)

Congratulations! That is really cool. You know if you posted your Flickr link here, I bet you would get a lot of visitors.
@fanatic888- thanks! the flickr link is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clerksgrl/4060113538/ . I actually have posted it before and it is cool when the 'bee folks come to look at it... but this website gets hundreds of thousands of hits every day... so its really a whole other scale :)

@guffee- ummm that would be a bad idea! hehe. What I really love is fine art prints to sell, although I am just starting to get into portrait work. It will be YEARS before I even consider doing a wedding because I don't want to suck! heh
