- Wedding: July 2013
Holy Sh*t! I basically just pooped my pants.
I have two best friends, we communicate on facebook constantly because they live about 1,500 miles away.
We have a convo going right now between the 3 of us on FB that basically ran through the entire wedding planning process and up until today, which was about 2,000 messages.
Well, apparently one of my best friend’s phones wigged out & added over 60 people to our very private conversation!
My sister saw it, my aunt saw it, & so did some of our mutual friends!
We talked a lot of crap in these private messages, & obviously talked about a LOT of personal stuff, like sex, lots of gossip, and we even talked about some very incriminating things about marijuana use (no, I’m not a user, but something very personal was touched on).
Umm, yeah, I basically had a conniption & flew off the deep end. I only found out about it because my sister called me up cussing me out about talking crap about her in a message I “added her to.” Umm, WHAT? Check it out, our private messages were on BLAST & guess who did the most talking in these messages? As the bride, I did!
I deactivated my account & changed my name on there before I did so, so that the rest of the people in the convo wouldn’t recognize it was me at first (I’m sure they would figure it out eventually if they knew us enough, also if they saw my real name before I changed it..).
Apparently you can add someone to a conversation, but you can’t take them out, only they can choose to leave the conversation if they want to. In the mean time, they can read all of our business (very very private business, some things I wouldn’t even tell my husband because it was private girl talk).
But, from what I understand, they can still read the conversation once they’ve left if they feel like it (hopefully they don’t, but I’m pretty sure my sister will, ugh!).
I’m so upset & drained, & I’ve definitely been driven to drink tonight…….
