Holy cow!  I’m from MI and I think I would have to try to spend that much on 55 people to get to 24K.

Are you getting married in a big city?  G.R., Traverse City, Detroit , etc can get pretty expensive.

It adds up so quickly! We are trying to do a Winter wedding in Chicago specifically for off-season pricing and it still will cost close to 30k for 220 people.

Yes! I keep going over the budget and trying to cut costs where I can. It just seems to stay hovering around $7,000.

I’m assuming it’s this price because we’re getting married out of town in an expensive city (San Francisco).

We are only having 10 people attend, at most. And it’s a city hall wedding at that! haha

I keep telling myself every penny will be worth it in the end.

@skippydarling:  Heyyy Michigan! What’s your venue? Our 70 person wedding is going to be 20K. Not cheap…

@skippydarling: I was just there for a gala on Friday night! It is so beautiful. I had not been before and was really impressed. Enjoy your day!

@skippydarling:  We are in the exact same boat. We figured even though we are in Chicago, a wedding of 75 can’t be that bad, especially since there will be no wedding party, we’re doing ceremony and reception at a restaurant, no limos, etc. like you we didn’t budget (which I’m beginning to believe was a mistake on our part), and I started tallying what we are committed to spending and I’m like, what in the deep-fried hell??
