I just called staples to ask how much it would cost me to print 150 one-sided, black and white sheets. They said around 56 cents a sheet, or $88 with fees and tax. WTF?!
One black ink cartridge is $13, and would print about that many sheets.
Why do they charge so much??
/Vent over. Sorry guys.

Because they can. pfft =/
Do you have a college in your area that you might be able to call?
I got all of our stuff down at the college in the Media Services dept. I know that prices range from different areas but…
I got 700 blk/wht copies for 14 bucks… I took in my own paper so I didn’t have to pay for paper but still.. it’s would not have been 80 bucks. (sheesh)
I know that sometimes some colleges require that you be a student but ours does not… definitely worth a call.

@princessbelle: get out! good deal!
@runsyellowlites: I didn’t even think of that! I’m actually still a student (gah) so that would be awesome. Maybe I’ll call them this week. I also have my own paper, so that would be easy too.
I’ve heard from people that printing ink-jet is bad news, in case anyone gets anything wet (implying that it’ll get ruined) and laser is the way to go. Any experience with this?

@sorrycharlie: Yikes! Also check FedEx Kinkos…they are more reasonable and provide better service than the Staples in my area.

My issue with inkjet is ours just ate up way to much ink for my projects… so it was WAY too costly.
Glad I could give you that tip….
Not sure if it’s called the same thing but our is the Media Services Dept…. or ask for wherever they do their in-house printing.
they saved our pocket book HUGELY as all of our paper goods prints cost a total of 25 bucks through them…
HUGE difference between them and ANYwhere else 😉
EDIT:: Oh and from other prints that we’ve gotten very other places in the past they looked just as great!
