I’ve been totally guilty of stalking my registry non-stop, my shower is about a month away and my invites went out about a week ago. Today I was updating it…and I saw someone bought us our pots and pans set, my pink(!) Kitchenaid mixer, and our full set of knives! I was in complete shock. I’m guessing the shower hostesses went shopping together, but…still. I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t! It feels kind of too generous. I also feel a little bad for stalking so much and ruining the surprise!
Did anyone else feel incredibly overwhelmed by seeing big ticket items marked off on their registry?

We’re still way too far out from the wedding to be getting much, but I went back and forth between excited and overwhelmed when I saw someone had bought both the mixer (we registered for the pro version which is a little more expensive than the standard Artisan) and the ice cream attachment. Oh my gosh–and so early, too! I’m still in shock 3 weeks later!

@BunnyBrideToBe: Yes, we’re date twins! My mom’s friends wanted to do the shower and they live halfway across the country, so we’re doing it so early–I have time off of work and am going to stay with my parents for a week. It is shocking, though. I saw the pots and pans and almost fainted, and then I saw the other things. It’s so exciting but just sort of crazy at the same time!

AW! I was excited about our coffeepot! 150.00 seems like a lot of money! (well it is). I am reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly hoping I get my candyapple Kitchenaid mixer! Shower is 3 weeks away!

I keep looking at the first registry I’ve done for my shower on the 25th (in Kentucky – my hometown), the invites just went out Friday (it’s a small town, everyone had their invites THAT day), but I’m not seeing anything just yet. Once we get back from Kentucky, we’re doing our registry for the shower here — Bed Bath and Beyond and Target, so I’ll be excited then too!
We put a PS3 on the registry for the shower in KY — I’m not gonna hold my breath too long on that one:)

off topic– every time I read a post like this, I think, “oh! I should go check my registry! maybe someone has bought something recently!”

There is a PINK stand mixer???

@SoontobeMrsA: It’s possibly my favorite thing on the registry! My mom redid her kitchen and got all of the pink KitchenAid appliances, I’ve been coveting her stand mixer since she got it a few years back. So excited about mine…and FI was very understanding me picking the girliest one!

Haha oh man…I have been really naughty with my registry. I check it almost every day. I have slowed down since the shower, though.
I do feel a little guilty when I see that someone bought our china (at $165 per SET.) but otherwise I’m just really excited for all of our beautiful gifts from our generous guests 🙂

I’m freaking out and don’t quite know how to handle receiving some of the gifts! Very little has been purchased thus far off of our registry, however we have received the little notecards people fill out at the store for 3 purchases.
My partner’s aunt has purchased us the china teapot AND the creamer AND the sugar! It’s way, way too much! I feel like writing a thank you that says I very much appreciate the thought, but really, it’s okay, you can return some of it, it’s too much! I won’t… but that’s how I feel!
Another friend was quite generous too, plus he’s already taking vacation time and flying in from way up north!

anything over the 50-100 dollar range that freaked me out… I think there are two items I added that were over 200 one was the pot and pan set but my grandmother buys all the girls there caphlon set at the shower…
