I'm in the same shoes, in Toronto however. Your night sounds like a great plan to relax a little.
I'm leaving for London tomorrow though, so I'm doing exciting things like laundry, packing, and ordering in dinner! The only sad part? I wont see fi for another 2.5 weeks due to my vacation (to visit family) & our conflicting schedules. That's our longest time apart ever.
Sometimes that can be fun. What kind of vino are you having Mrs. Bee? Enjoy getting caught up and have some quality girl time here with us! We're all staying in here tonight. I'm on call this weekend and the weather is less than perfect (severe thunderstorm watches and stuff like that).
I'm home alone tonight too, Mrs. Bee!
Mr. Powder Puff is going to a beer fest tomorrow in Michigan with his college buddies (drinking beer at 9am outside in the cold... no thank you!). Whenever he's out of town I always watch tv (full control of the remote!), and do girly beauty stuff that I don't necessarily want him to witness. :)
I love having those home alone nights! I usually watch a movie that fiance would never want to watch or get caught up on Grey's Anatomy. Oh, and I get some wine AND chocolate... like the good dark chocolate!
Mr. J is working all weekend, so I'm going to be spending a lot of time alone in the next few days. I look forward to watching all the shows he hates, plus baking :)
My other half is leaving for his bachelor extravanganza this weekend. He and his brother are having a joint party since my future BIL is getting married next month. They're driving 2 hours to Lousiana to stay at a casino (sooo much better than bars and strip clubs!). My fiance's so cute, you'd think he was about to leave for Disneyland or something. :)
I plan to devote most of the weekend to DIY wedding projects and a night out with the girls tomorrow.
My girly weekends consist of wine, cheese, reading and Weddingbee! :)
And perhaps a little online shopping.
Enjoy your time by yourself!
i'm drinking a cabernet sauvignon from relativity vineyards in napa valley. it's a $22 bottle of wine (prolly cheaper everywhere else than it is in nyc), and is a really really nice bottle. i also picked up some cheddar cheese, soppresatta, and strawberries. just got home from working out and will open that baby up in a little bit.
Every weekend is spent without the hubby! only 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days.... This weekend I plan to cut lots of paper for my invitation inserts, bake cookies, watch movies with a couple girlfriends, and work out!
i always order in from a restaurant that he doesn't like, watch gilmore girls, stay up late. my MIL says that when her husband travels, she'll often stay up until 2 am reading, knitting, or quilting just because she treasures an evening alone in the house. my FIL is mock-offended by that because she never stays up past 9 pm when he is around.
where do you online shop humarockbride? i'm a pretty recent convert to online shopping. the sites i hit up most are glit group, j crew, anthropologie and modcloth. once you go online, you don't go back!
mrsbear -- you just added two of my guilty pleasures -- gilmore girls and ordering in from places he hates!!
mrsbee -- can you say zappos?!?! free shipping and free return shipping!! it's like a dream come true. i don't always shop for shoes/clothes either ... amazon.com for books and DVDs and other gadgets ... my "wish list" is pretty long on amazon!
LOL HumarockBride!! I'm a zappos fan too! And I ADORE Amazon.com. I have a "shopping list" on there of things (from all over the place) that I have to buy regularly!! I am addicted...which is bad for the wedding budget...but good for the wedding!!
I'm currently at work, I work nights, but I'm three timeazones east of London. I sit and search wedding planning sites when I don't have anything to do for work. So where's there's interesting posts, I'll put in my two cents.
My fiance and I have had to deal with a long distance relationship for half of the time we've been together. It's nice to have time by yourself. It gives me time to reorganize, enjoy my own hobbies and friends. Also, sometimes it's nice just to stretch out side-ways on the bed and relax.
We dont live together, so most of my nights are home alone. I like browsing the internet for some good wedding "porn" and watching either TV or a movie with my sweetheart of a cat!
Miss Powderpuff- Mr. Taffy was supposed to go to Beerfest, but couldn't because our officiant was in from New York. He went to the winter one last year. The summer one was in Ypsilanti, so I had to drive him and 5 other guys in a rented mini van, then pick their drunk asses up lol! That was interesting...

I'm home alone! Though I've traveled without Mr. Bee often, this is the first time that I've stayed home and Mr. Bee is out of town.
I plan on answering emails, writing some blogs, drinking some wine, and watching some tv. Exciting huh?
What are you ladies up to tonight? What do you do when the mister is out of town?
